Kadho apps enhance children’s language learning skills

Adults who struggle to learn a second language often envy the skill children have in not only picking up their native tongue, but the languages of those around them. A California-based startup called Kadho, has studied the issue and created a series of apps – eight so far – that are designed to help develop children’s natural capacity for language learning through exposure to what are termed “global sounds,” and extend their capabilities into adulthood.

The apps take advantage of the window of opportunity children have to learn through the neural stimulation they receive from singing, chatting and listening. They are currently available on iTunes and Google Play.
